James Patnode is a Lake Placid native. He attended the local Lake Placid schools and participated in Upward Bound. While attending SUNY Plattsburgh and the Center for Music, Drama, and Arts in Lake Placid, Patnode studied Fine Arts including photography. Drawing from his photography background and using collage techniques and a variety of mixed media, he captures the essence of the Lake Placid views with simplicity and light.
