Kilimology One-of-a-kinds:
Fragments of Old World Village and Nomad Weavings
Each fragment is a unique piece of an authentic, antique work of Old World weaving art. Only
previously damaged rugs and kilims have been used.
Since 1975 Kilimology collection has focused on old nomad and village weavings:
wool knotted pile rugs and flatweaves (kilims) dating from the 19th centuary or earlier, from the Ottoman Empire, Caucasus, Kurdistan, Persia, Central Asia and China.

His primary criteria are the visual qualities of design as expressed in the stylistics of color and "drawing".
These naturally dyed pieces of traditional woven art function as remarkable windows into a world of stylized and abstract imagery reaching back to the Great Goddess cults of the ancient world.
